Perfect for every level, this class focuses on teaching you how to build a cohesive, unique color palette. Using your own inspiration for your palette (e.g., fabric from your home, scarf, dress, image from a magazine, image from instagram, painting you love) or using the inspiration I use for instruction (image provided in the extras for class), we’ll break down the main colors, focusing on a formula of temperature and tone to create a palette. From there, I’ll show you how to mix color and create a color palette library to record your paint mixing formula. No painting is created in this class.
The supply list can be found in the supply list collection of your subscription library. All supplies are linked to my preferred suppliers, for easy online shopping.
Feel free to use comparable items that you have on hand, or through your preferred art supplier, but do try to stick to the suggested paint brand and color in order to achieve the desired color palette.

Dramatic Landscape, 40" x 30"
Drama! Drama! Drama! I love a good landscape painting, though as an abstract artist I have a tendency to want to see a traditional subject in an abstract style. If you deconstructed the elements we love about a landscape painting, would it still translate? Could we make it something more? This cl...
