Perfect for every level, this painting class uses a variety of paint applications and materials (acrylic paint, oil pastel) to create a neutral focused abstract painting on a 40" x 40" canvas. I'll guide you through how to create an active neutral palette, using your stereotypical neutral colors (cream, grey, black) while incorporating active neutral colors, like soft blush, light blue, and a quiet violet. And while those technically aren’t neutrals, they function as such to give a more poignant feel to the peaceful palette. We'll use seven focal points, while also giving the overall composition a generous amount of negative space, creating a ethereal and unique painting.
The supply list can be found in the supply list collection of your subscription library. All supplies are linked to my preferred suppliers, for easy online shopping.
Feel free to use comparable items that you have on hand, or through your preferred art supplier, but do try to stick to the suggested paint brand and color in order to achieve the desired color palette.
